Mr. Christian Earl

Sunday October 22,2023 Christian Rinell Earl, a proud veteran of the US Army passed away peacefully at Edward Hines JR. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. Chris was born on Tuesday, March 3 1981, in Florissant, Missouri. At the age of 11 years old, Chris moved to Oak Park, IL to live with his aunt Linda Moore "who Chris called mom", and his aunt Latrice Earl. He attended Emerson Elementary School and graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School. Shortly after his move to Oak Park, Chris joined Living Word Christian Center and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. While attending Oak Park River Forest High School, Christ developed his passion for the culinary arts, and he took opportunities to compete in regional and State cooking competitions. Chris goal was to attend the Culinary Institutes of America to become a renowned chef. After graduation, Chris joined the Army. In the US Army, Specialist Chirstian R. Earl served three years active duty as an Infantryman in the US Army and was honorably discharged. While in the military Chris received several decorations, medals and badges including the Combat Infantry Badge, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Mdeal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award) and German Army Marksmanship Silver Medal. Upon his honorable discharge, Chris worked for Jesse Brown VA in Chicago, and later moved to Colorado where he worked for the VA. However, in 2019 Christian suffered a heart condition that changed his life. It was then that Chris decided to travel and see the world, meet new people, learn about other cultures and enjoy life to the fullest. His travels included Argentina, Chile, Dominican Republica, Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, and Japan and all across the United States. His friends say that Chris cared immensly about people. That he was amazing, the most phenomenal person they have ever met. His spirit would light up the room. His brotherhood, he honored, and he loved his family dearly. The impact that Chris had on the lives of people reaches around the world. He served his country; saved lives and touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, you knew it. Chris is survived by Mary Annette Earl, mother, Linda Moore, auntie-mom, Billie Michelle Earl, sister; two brothers Byron Mcbride and Jayon Neal, his grandmother Mae Payne, nephews Jaylen, Jayden, and Jayson Jr and a host of other relatives and friends.
