This moment is so unreal.. I was praying this was just a bad nightmarethat I needed to wake up from. But unfortunately, it’s reality. . my Mom,my Twin, the woman who taught me everything about becoming awoman. She’s gone. I not only lost my mother, I lost a huge part ofmyself.. it breaks me so much. Knowing she’s not going to be there formy college graduation, to take a shot with me on my 21st birthday,purchasing my first car, or even when I have my first child. I’m so sorry Icouldn’t give you any grandkids before you left us. I knew how much youwanted to be a grandma. Now it’s too late. However, i’ll be able to tell mychildren all about you; How beautiful and stunning you were. Whilstbeing able to share the memories we made with them. I’ll be sure to makeyou proud. I’m extremely grateful that I got the chance to give you onelast kiss on your forehead and was able to talk to you, as well as tell you Ilove you one last time. I know you’re always watching over us, cussing usout up there. I wouldn’t expect any less from you though Mom. Becausethat’s who you ARE.. not who you “were”. You’re forever still here in myeyes. My heart is now an empty void.. A void nothing or nobody will everbe able to fill. This pain is unbearable. Pain I wouldn’t even wish uponmy worst enemy. Buit i’ll push through it. We all will. There is no more calls, nomore facetimes, no more stops to Panera bread for soup, and I swear Idon't know what to do. I pray every night and shed tears that one daysoon I once again will be with you. Now that's what I call true love. My bae had a heart of gold because shemade sure everyone ate, drank, and enjoyed themselves. And you better believe it, we were playingcards, whether it was 2's, spades, or bid; that was a favorite pastime. I can hear her saying, "Y'all wantto gamble?" She had my back all the time, just like I had hers. Man, did she love to party, cook, andclean while listening to her music. She was my best friend, my right hand, my sidekick. That was justa small summary of her journey of life for those who didn’t know. Now I'm going to say goodbye tothe love of my life, my wife. -Love from your forever boo, JamesMom, it’s funny how things change. It’s funny how, now that you’re gone, life ain’t the same. It’s funnythat now I’ve got to figure out how to live my life without you. It’s funny how people ask me, “Are you okay?” Deep down inside, I’m not; I’m lost without you, and this is true. It’s funny. No, it ain’t funny.God needed you more, and that is okay. I just wish this pain would leave me right now, today! Really, Icould write a book about the kind of woman you were. If anybody knew you, they’d say, “Yeah, that’sher!” I am because you are. I know if I’d walked a mile in your shoes, I would’ve made it far. Mom,you’ve given me so much love from your heart and the warmth of your touch. Man, I don’t think youunderstand; I’m missing you oh so much. How did you find the energy, Mom, to do all the things youdid? You were a teacher, nurse, and counselor to me when I was a kid. How did you do it all, Mom?Be a supporter, cook, and a friend; yet, you were my mother too. Now that, I just can’t comprehend.They say there is a reason; they say time will heal. Neither time nor reason will change how I feel.Gone are the days we used to share, but in my heart, I know you’ll always be there. The gates of memories will never close. I miss you more than anybody will ever know. Your tenderness and loving ways still got me through my lonely days. Though your smile is gone forever and your hand we cannot touch, we still have so many memories of you, Mom, that we will forever cherish so much. A baby is something that you carried inside you for nine months, in your arms for three years, and in your heart until the day you died. Here I am, all grown up. The day you took your last breath is the day I knew God had you covered, but damn, I still cried. Hey, Mom, spread your wings and fly high.Thirty-one years on this earth wasn’t enough time for me with you. But now that you’re gone, I’ve got to be strong to take care of Dad and the girls too! I think I’ve got it from here, Mom; just rest your soul,visit us sometimes, and meanwhile, I’m going to try to keep calm. Now, even though we made many memories, it still wasn’t enough. I know life from here on out is going to be rough. One of thestrongest people I know, and that’s a fact. I really still can’t figure out, Mom, how you just went up and left us like that. But let me not question God’s plan because this is what He had in store. You did what you had to do as a wife, a mother, and so much more. Mom, say hey to the rest of the family for me:my two grannies, my uncles, and my aunties, all the family. Pick some flowers, you know, the ones you like, and tell them it’s from me. I can write a book about you, Mom. But you already knew that, I’m sure. I did get a chance to see you and kiss you goodbye, farewell, bonjour! Tupac said, “Ain’t a woman alive that can take my mama’s place.” No lies were told, even with you at your final restingplace. My mother, my friend, my everything, my rock; I was the joker, and you were the Ace. Mom,let’s play one last round of cards. Knowing you, you’d say, “Let’s play deuces.” Damn, Mom, you’rereally gone. No other feeling can compare; this feeling is ruthless. I’ve got it from here, Mom. Dad, thegirls, and I will be okay. I guess I’ll see you on the other side; just save me a space. How did you do itall, Mom? Be a great wife and a wonderful mother? I’m going to miss those summer porch nights.How will I ever recover? One thing for sure and two for certain: you no longer have to suffer, be inpain, nor carry the burden. I know you’ll be looking down from heaven’s view. Mom, can you pleasesave me a spot right next to you?
