Mr. Louis Visconti

October 12, 1941 - December 27, 2021

A Memorial service for Louis Charles Visconti, 80, of Melrose Park, will be held on February 6th at Carbonara Funeral Home in Melrose Park, IL. The family has chosen cremation and will receive friends from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Louie passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 at AMITA Health Resurrection Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He was born on October 12, 1941 to the late Sam and Josephine (Gulino) Visconti. On December 2, 2013, he married Diane (Coor). He was a retired plumber with Local Union 130. Ever trying to make the most of life, he played tennis with the Tall Boys and was a member of the Chicago Windy City Jitterbug Club. He loved being outdoors in the sun and in the water. He was a great dancer, a man who always wanted to make you laugh, and a wonderful human being. He was always a “glass half full” type of guy who encouraged others not to sweat the small stuff. He is survived by his wife, Diane Visconti of Melrose Park, his two sons Lou and Christopher (Kelli), his two stepdaughters Dona and Danielle (Godar), his five grandchildren Lou Jr, Francesca, Sean (Faith), Sammy, and Vivian, his two great-grandchildren Jamie and Lainey, and his sister Frances (Novak). He is preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Carolyn and his brother, Sonny. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. http://www.themmrf.org
